Dr. Ibrahim Abba (OON)
Chairman
Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Mallam Abba is the Chairman of Cainergy Group Limited and its subsidiaries, appointed in November 2022. He has held significant leadership roles at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), including Group Executive Director (Corporate Services) and Group General Manager (Administration & Personnel).
Recognized for his contributions to national development, Alh. Abba received the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) honor in 2004. He has also served in key public service roles in Borno State, demonstrating a commitment to community development.
Alh. Abba holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Population Growth Studies from University College, Cardiff, UK, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Social Sciences from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Nigeria. He has completed professional courses in advanced personnel management and executive management at prestigious institutions worldwide.

Goodness Aula
Executive Director
Mr. Goodness Aula is a co-founder and Executive Director of Cainergy Group Limited and its subsidiaries, established in June 2015. He leads operations in the Australasia region, covering Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and neighboring countries.
With over 14 years of global energy industry experience spanning Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and Europe, Mr. Aula specializes in materials and metallurgical engineering, focusing on quality management, inspection, asset integrity, welding, and integrity engineering. He has worked with leading companies including Petrofac UAE, Beneprojecti Nigeria, Metka SA, and Cox Projects.
Mr. Aula holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and an M.Sc. in Pipeline Integrity Management from the University of Northumbria, UK. He is a member of professional bodies such as the Institute of Engineers Australia, Chartered Quality Institute UK, Institute of Asset Management Australia, American Society for Quality USA, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON), COREN, and Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
Aysha Abba
Executive Director
Ms. Aysha Abba is the co-founder and CEO of Cainergy Group Limited and its subsidiaries, established in June 2015. With over 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, her expertise spans engineering, finance, and business development.
Ms. Abba holds a master’s degree in International Business, Trade & Commerce from Hult International Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Warwick. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (Level 2 CFA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Oil & Gas Research & Hydrocarbon Studies.
Ms. Abba is active in professional organizations including the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Institute of Engineering Technology UK, COREN, Institute of Directors (Nigeria), and Women in Energy Network. She continues her professional development through courses at Harvard Business School, INSEAD, IHRDC, and The Energy Institute.
Mr. Al-Ameen Musa
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Musa Al-Amin Mohammad is a Non-Executive Director of Cainergy Group Limited and its subsidiaries, appointed in November 2022. With over two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Mohammad has held key roles at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He contributed significantly to the Nigerian Gas Master Plan, served as General Manager of Gas Pipelines, and played a pivotal role in developing the NNPC-GAZPROM JV. In his tenure at NNPC, Mr. Mohammad also led the Corporate Compliance Monitoring Unit and contributed to engineering policy.
Transitioning to the private sector, Mr. Mohammad served as Interface/Regulatory Manager for the OKLNG Project, focusing on permitting activities and design reviews. He holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry (ABU 1983) and an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (UNIPORT 1998). Mr. Mohammad is dedicated to continuous professional development, evident through his participation in various technical and management courses.
Mrs. Grace Aula
Non-Executive Director
Mrs. Grace Aula is a Non-Executive Director of the Cainergy Group and its subsidiaries. She was appointed in November 2022
She is an astute administrator with over three decades of work experience including the Federal Government of Nigeria (public) agencies; the World Bank’s Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI) project, Ilorin; and the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), Enugu. Her impact during her participation in advocacy meetings and programmes with top level Government and Non-Governmental Executives including Governors of various States resulted in the domestication of the Child Rights Acts in 10 States in Nigeria.
She is an alumna of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State University of Science and Technology and the Federal University of Technology Owerrri (FUTO). Her strength is not limited to Project Management and Office Administration.
Mrs. Aula is a philanthropist and a Counselor.
Robert Onyejekwe
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Robert Onyejekwe is a Non-Executive Director of Cainergy Group Limited and its subsidiaries, appointed in November 2022. With over 25 years of global experience across four continents, he specializes in business transformation and holds multiple executive board memberships and advisory roles in the energy transition, infrastructure, and Oil & Gas sectors.
Starting his career with Schlumberger in 1996, Mr. Onyejekwe held various field, engineering, and management positions in Nigeria, the United States, Cameroon, and France. Notable roles include Drilling and Measurements Operations Manager for Angola, East, and Southern Africa, and Vice President of Human Resources for the Middle East Area. He later served as Vice President and General Manager for Sub Sahara Africa.
As President of Bits and Drilling Tools at Schlumberger, Mr. Onyejekwe led global strategy and technology portfolios, launching innovative drilling technologies aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiency in the oil and gas industry. He also drove market expansion strategies as Global Director of Sales and Commercial for Reservoir and Infrastructure.
Mr. Onyejekwe is committed to educational development, supporting women pursuing STEM disciplines through initiatives like the Faculty of the Future panel and serving on the board of the Schlumberger Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering, an MBA, and a Diploma in Finance. Recognized for his leadership, he received the Executive of the Year award from the University of Ibadan Alumni in 2018.
