The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) awarded Cainergy Training Services (CTS) a training workshop on data analytics for its employees.
This training is designed for NMDPRA workers from various departments, such as human resources and information technology, and is particularly for personnel involved in the creation and preservation of employee and information data within the organisation.
Data are Individual facts, statistics, or pieces of information, often numerical, that are collected through observations are referred to as data and also as general concepts. It also refers to the fact that some existing information or knowledge is represented or coded in some form suitable for better usage.
Data analysis is a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and support decision-making. In today’s business world, data analysis plays a role in making decisions more scientific and helping businesses operate more effectively.
Data analytics has some components that can help with a variety of initiatives combining these components, a successful data analytics initiative will provide a clear picture of where you are, where you have been, and where you should go, which provides a clearer path to follow for employees of an organization.
The goal of this workshop is to ensure that at the end of the training, employees of NMDPRA should be able to identify the fundamentals of information analysis, identify the report types and their formats, and explore the information analysis and reporting tools using Microsoft Excel.
